SZETT

Choose high quality, unique carpets and home textiles from professional Hungarian textile artists!

SZETT’s mission is to strengthen the unique world of contemporary Hungarian carpet design. The skilled designers create their products individually and in series, either by themselves or in collaboration with manufacturers. They are dedicated to represent the diversity, beauty and innovative results of carpet design, but also other home textile accessories and acoustic solutions are included in their repertoire.

In the Studio of SZETT they regularly organize professional presentations, workshops and lectures. They co-organise the RUG ART FEST Contemporary Carpet Designers’ Meeting. The RAF product show, now in its 5th year, will focus on creative textiles by SZETT designers, which visitors to S/ALON BUDAPEST can now get a taste of. They can get to know the designers and the versatility of textiles through their woven, knotted, handtufting, felted, fiber-dyed, modular, structural and sustainable products on display.

Bokányi Nóra Textile

She graduated from the Moholy University of Fine Arts in 2019 with a Master’s degree in Textile Art. During her university years, many of his projects were based on circularity. He is currently developing her ideas as a fellow of MMA. In the conception and realization of her products she mostly utilizes unused materials, bringing them out of their passivity and activating them on a new textile surface. She also builds on existing kits, pieces that have fallen off from tailoring. In all her creations, she puts the respect for man, nature and the world of objects at the forefront.

Dreaming Threads

Their textiles are a testament to their commitment to contemporary design and their passion for textile making. They embody the precious elements of folk art, the playfulness of design and the liberation of color. They create plastic, soft and colorful textiles for the home that are a joy to live with. Their rugs and home textiles combine traditional Hungarian folk motifs with contemporary design.

FANNER&Co

FANNER&Co was created out of personal motivation, to offer a sustainable alternative to the lack of aesthetics and unique sizes in the bed linen cover market. The self-designed patterns are applied to premium quality cotton linen base fabric using an environmentally friendly process, providing one of the most natural sensations for the skin while sleeping. The range also includes a variety of handmade decorative pillows, which complement the bed linen perfectly in color.

KOMONKA

KOMONKA Textile’s designer is Kovács Móni. Her hand-woven textiles are characterised by her unique treatment of surfaces and her special use of materials. With its contrasting glossed and matte, soft and hard surfaces, her collection of metallic textiles seeks to imitate nature. The interplay of metallic and cotton threads creates a special light effect that recalls the Sun’s glitter and water’s clarity within the home. Each textile is unique and adapted to its surrounding interior.

LVG Textile Art and Design

The LVG Textile Art and Design brand, which bears the name of designer Gabi V. Lőrincz, designs rugs for special occasions: weddings, births, anniversaries, and special events.

Nature Lab

Lili Veres-Veszprémi’s work seeks to capture the spontaneous and unpredictable qualities of nature as it manifests itself through the filters of creative sensibility in textiles and various media of visual culture. The design is based on natural materials (wool, cotton, linen), experimental and open. In terms of its results, it includes the possibility of customized design and production, but also the creation of objects that can be produced in small series.

VIVOID

VIVOID’s products are acoustic wall coverings, tapestries, wall panels, cushions and other design elements - using textile structures formed with modular techniques. VIVOID is an imaginative name derived from the English word ’vivid’ and the Latin name of the perennial plant, ’sempervivoidea’, which faithfully reflects the essence of the brand: a geometric yet organic design inspired by a world of forms, evoking nature in interiors. Its primary raw material is live, natural wool felt.
