Demeter Fogarasi thinks of furniture as objects and items bringing life and energy into spaces. His devotion for arts and creativity is evident in the design of his furniture, as they all tell a unique story where the observer plays a part as well. His work is usually experimental with an emphasis on emotions, as his products blur the line between product and art.
Elephant in a Pond Table is a glass coffee table, inspired by the work of Shiro Kuramata. The transparent geometric shapes come alive by the playfulness of light. The robust shape of the legs are in contrast with the lightness of the material, making the object elegantly strong yet light at the same time.
“The composition is the result of experimenting with basic shapes and proportions, letting light to ‘do its job’ delicately dancing in the reflections.”
